Our service experiences are organized alongside El Amor de Patricia and may include time at the children's home, community projects, hygiene initiatives and delivering beds and other necessities to families.

The trip information recommends checking current vaccination guidance for Guatemala with your healthcare provider or an international travel clinic before traveling.

We'll also make sure you have the travel information you need before departure so you can make the decisions that are right for you.

Most of your major in-country expenses are taken care of, but you'll want some spending money for the extras.

Plan for approximately $30 USD for dinners out, optional ziplining around $50 USD, tips, souvenirs, shopping and any other personal purchases or optional activities you'd like to enjoy.

And keep in mind, your money tends to go a lot further in Guatemala than it does in North America.

We'll provide arrival and departure guidelines so you can coordinate your flights with the team's transportation.

El Amor de Patricia takes precautions to support team safety, including education around food and water and general precautions for traveling in a developing country.

Jean-Anne has also been traveling to Guatemala for 15 years. This isn't a country she chose from a list of retreat destinations. It's a place she knows, loves and has been returning to for years.
